Every time you send your credit card number and your billing and shipping information through our secure online ordering system, our administrator is using the industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to prevent the information from being intercepted. Your personal information is also encrypted when shipping instructions are transferred to our fulfillment headquarters.

Once all the items you desire are viewable in your shopping cart, click place order. You will be directed to supply shipping and billing information, and will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order has been placed.

Shipping and Handling

Items may be shipped by a variety of carriers, depending on the shipment and your location. Orders are facilitated through scheduled pickup services by Federal Express, United Parcel Service, USPS, and DHL. If product(s) you order are unavailable, you will be contacted by e-mail to report any unexpected delays.

An exact amount will be provided through our secure ordering system.

Shipping and Handling

Applicable sales tax will be charged automatically to all orders shipped to New York. Orders shipped outside the continental US may require a Sales Tax, Custom or other fees.

Orders shipping by truck will not ship until we've spoken with you to confirm delivery arrangements. Once we've received your order we will contact you, or if you prefer contact us at 718-948-4092.

Truck Deliveries to Business Addresses
Truck deliveries do not include inside delivery. Truck shipments are tailgate/dock delivery (the driver will bring the item(s) to the rear of the truck but will not assist you in bringing the item(s) inside). Inside delivery and/or setup is available in some metropolitan areas for an additional charge. Contact us at 718-948-4092 or by email to sales@refurbexpress.com  for a quote. Be sure to include the item numbers of the items you are inquiring about in your email. Truck deliveries cannot be scheduled, however we can request that the trucking company call before attempting delivery. A signature is required for all truck deliveries; someone must be available during business hours to sign for a truck delivery. Note any visible damage on the bill of lading/delivery ticket before signing for the shipment. Any claims for damaged or missing items must be made within 48 hrs.

IMPORTANT - DO NOT DISCARD THE SHIPPING MATERIALS/ PACKAGING FOR YOUR ORDER. Items not in their original packaging are not returnable for credit or replacement.

Truck Deliveries to Residential Addresses & Home Offices
Inside delivery is not available to residential addresses or home offices.  Truck shipments are tailgate/curbside delivery (the driver will bring the item to the rear of the truck but will not assist you in bringing the item inside). Truck deliveries cannot be scheduled, however we can request that the trucking company call before attempting delivery. A signature is required for all truck deliveries; someone must be available during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM) to sign for a truck delivery. Note any visible damage on the bill of lading/delivery ticket before signing for the shipment.

Residential delivery is not available in some areas of the country; we will contact you if delivery cannot be made to your address.

Returns

RefurbExpress.com offers a 30 day return policy on all eligible products. Not all items are eligible for return through RefurbExpress as each manufacturers return policy differs. Some products are non-returnable even if defective, as the Manufacturer requires the machine to be repaired through warranty. Feel free to contact us about your product of intrest and we will be glad to assist you. Remember, all products both new and factory refurbished come with the original Manufacturers warrranty (IBM typewriters are covered internally by RefurbExpress.com), and can be serviced or repaired through any of their authorized service centers. Merchandise returned for refund within the 30 day return period is subject to a 15% restocking fee. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, including all credit card transaction/authorization fees assosiated with the original purchase and return. Please note: the transaction/authorization fee is the percentage charged by the credit card companies to process your order. All transactions/authorization fees are determined by the actual charge of each individual credit card merchant. The Customer is responsible for return shipping and handling charges on all returned items. All returns must obtain a prior RMA# (Returned Merchandise Authorization) from RefurbExpress.com. Any return we receive without an RMA number will be returned to you and no credit issued. RMA numbers are valid for 15 days from date of issuance. Returns must be 100% complete, in original factory condition, with all original boxes and packing materials, contain all manuals, inserts, warranty card(s), software, cables and accessories. Additional charges may apply if the merchandise is not returned in 100% complete condition.

All office equipment cannot be returned once the toner has been installed in the machine (Installed toner can leak during transit). If merchandise is defective it will be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer. Please understand we cannot accept returned consumable items such as ink cartridges, toner, developer, ribbons or drums once they have been opened.

Before requesting an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), make sure that you have read and understood clearly our Return Policy.

RMA#’s and return directions will be emailed to customer within 3 days.

When shipping your package, we recommend that you insure the package you are returning. In the event the package is lost or damaged in transit, RefurbExpress.com shall not be responsible. We suggest that you use a traceable carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery. RMA number must appear clearly on the shipping label affixed on the outside of all return shipments. Please do not mark the box itself in any other way.

We reserve the right to refuse a return on any product that does not meet these requirements.

After we have received your return, inspected it, and approved it for a refund, we will credit the approved refund amount to the original credit card used for purchase. 

Promotioal / Free items

All promotional items marked as "free" are subject to change, and substitutions of equal value might be necessary as items come in and out of stock. All promotional items are subject to the same policies governing all sales and purchases made at RefurbExpress.com. Any merchandise marked as "promotional" / "free gift" must be returned unopened and in salable condition if the original hardware purchase is returned for full credit. If the promotional item is not returned, or has been opened, RefurbExpress.com will subtract the retail price of the "promotional / free" gift from the credit. This does not apply to defective replacements within 30 days, as we will ship you a replacement, and you get to keep the free gift.

Defective Merchandise

Although, many products sold at RefurbExpress.com are factory refurbished they are covered by the Manufacturer's warranty (IBM typewriter are covered by RefurbExpress.com) . RefurbExpress.com stands behind the quality and condition of all merchandise sold and our highly trained representatives are available to assist with manufacturer's warranty service, exchange and repair if any item proves defective. 

If your merchandise arrives malfunctioning or appears to be defective, please contact the manufacturer to obtain warranty service. The contact number for each manufacturer is conveniently located on each product page within the site. In many instances, manufacturer representatives can diagnose and resolve product concerns over the phone. Our Customer Service team will make every effort to assist you in obtaining technical support and warranty service. At the discretion of RefurbExpress.com, in some instances, we may decide to repair or replace a defective product via our facility.  Defective merchandise returned to our facility will be replaced with the same product.  Refunds will be subject to a 15% restocking fee less the original shipping charges. The Customer is responsible for return shipping and handling charges on all returned items.

Damaged Merchandise

In the event that your merchandise arrives to you in physically damaged condition due to transit damage, please email us at returns@refurbexpress.com You must make claims for damage within 3 days of delivery. After this allotted time, we cannot accept responsibility for the claim. We will contact the delivery carrier (UPS or FedEx) on your behalf and have the merchandise picked up and inspected. Merchandise must be returned in the original shipping carton. Upon receipt of damaged merchandise to our warehouse, a replacement unit of the same model will be shipped to you.

Refused Shipments

At RefurbExpress.com, we make every effort to ship orders expeditiously. Merchandise that is refused will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel your order prior to shipping, please email as soon as possible at returns@refurbepress.com . No charges will be posted for cancellations that are made prior to processing and shipping.
